AMMA removes Vijay Babu from executive committee

The Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) announced on Sunday its decision to remove actor-producer Vijay Babu, who is accused of raping an actress, from its executive committee pending investigation into the case against him. registered by the police.

Babu, who has been untraceable since police launched the investigation, appeared in a live session on Facebook on Tuesday, claiming innocence and saying he is the “real victim.”

Since the producer, who is also the founder of the production company Friday Film House, disclosed the name and identity of the survivor, which is a criminal offence, another case was also filed against him.

Vijay Babu has moved the Kerala Supreme Court to seek anticipatory bail in the actress’s rape case.

In the meantime, another woman has filed a new charge against him on Friday via a social media page. However, the police have not yet filed a report in this regard because there was no official complaint.
