With investors from all parts of the world, this will have almost $200 billion investment, provided by around 200 funds, 75% of the investment will be from international investors. This will be the highest investment portfolio in the 10-year history of South Summit, 33% up from last year.
The organizers claim that this is the largest investment portfolio in the 10-year history of South Summit, 33% higher than in 2021, with investors able to meet startups looking for funding.
“These figures demonstrate the potential that South Summit has had during these 10 years in favoring an entrepreneurial and innovative ecosystem that is attractive to investors, both Spanish and international,” says María Benjumea, founder & CEO of South Summit.
Diego del Alcázar Benjumea, CEO at IE University highlighted the popularity of South Summit over the years and the increasing interaction among the businesses. “The constant endeavour of the Summit has helped founders with brilliant ideas come closer and build a better business world,” said Benjumea.
Nadia Calviño, First Deputy Prime Minister of Spain since July 2021 and Minister of Economy called upon the need to have a fresh look at sustainability by the corporate and entrepreneurs to redevelop a conducive environment in the post-Covid world. “The young entrepreneurs must now have an additional focus on sustainability as the world has changed post-Covid,” said Calvino.
